Happy Birthday Saydee

I can't believe you are one, where did the year go? I am so happy that God blessed us with two beautiful little girls. Saydee our first year together has gone so fast and I love being your mommy. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and we love seeing you smile and laugh. I hope you will always know how much you are loved by your family, especially your big sister. I know that you follow and do everything she does and it is so precious. Kirbee adores you just as much as you adore her. I pray that you girls will always be close and watch after each other. Your first birthday was so much fun, one day you will look back at pictures and laugh with us! We love you and adore you. Those of you reading this enjoy Saydee's first birthday pictures. I will try and add a video later! I love you Saydee Lane...

A whole new world

I just thought that Kirbee was a handful when she was little- not really. From the very beginning Saydee has been the opposite of what most say there second child is, she has always been very layed back- go-with-the-flow type girl. Kirbee was an easy baby too just a little more high maintenance. Ever since Saydee started crawling she can get into everything and anything! She watches and copies everything that Kirbee does and gets very mad if she can't do it. We have stairs in our house and I don't think Kirbee discovered them until after she was one, not Saydee we have caught her up the stairs at least twice. I know what you are thinking why don't you put up a gate? Tried that and caught her climbing up and almost over the gate!! She is a very fast crawler and is starting to walk but most of the time can go fast enough so she just gets down and crawls. I say all of that just to say that I have some cute pictures of her to post.

I have a cute video to go with this but I can never seem to get it to work. I am not sure if it is the computer or what?!

She can fall asleep on the hard floor and have Kirbee walk and fall over her one hundred times and not wake up but don't try laying her in her soft bed all by herself!! Don't you like her matching pj's? I am not one to have unmatching pjs (for my kids anyways) but lately it seems like I find the top and not the bottoms or the bottoms and not the tops!! Oh well we are just sleeping!

Enjoying the well needed rain...

OK- Maybe I am back now!

I just thought I would have more time to blog this summer-WRONG! I don't even know where to start so I will just post summer pictures. Corey is officially deployed now and I am working on new bedtime routines for the girls so that MAYBE I will have some time to myself in the evenings when school starts(next week) we will see how it goes- lots of prayers please! Although I would like to say that Kirbee has now slept all night in her own big girl "Little Mermaid" bed!! YEAH KIRBEE!!! Will post pictures soon.

Enjoy these for now...
Mommy and the girls!
Kirbee playing mommy although Saydee is just about as big as she is!

Saydee showing Kirbee she can do anything she can do (and that is an understatement!)

We took a trip with Mimi and Grandpa to visit family in Branson, will hopefully post a video and more pictures later!

We got to visit daddy in Arizona for a week. Here is Kirbee and daddy playing on one of the many playgrounds out there! She just adores her daddy!

Here is Saydee going down the slide with daddy- although she doesn't really need help- she can do it all by herself! She loves her daddy too!

There is a small taste of what we have been doing this summer- will post more soon! Sorry for those of you who actually check to see what is going on and you keep seeing the same things. Oh and by the way Saydee is walking so I will try and show a video if I can get it to work- I haven't had very much luck with videos. Have a great day!

Can you get into anything else?

I love being home with the girls although we have been on the go this week. I am a JH cheer coach so I have been busy with practice this week. However Kirbee loves cheering with the girls- if she has asked me once this week she has asked 100 times for some "pom-pons mom". She is so cute she is in the phase where she wants you to watch her do everything-I love it!

Saydee is also busy getting into everything. She is now at the stage where she pulls herself up and wants to walk so bad that she can't stand it. Of course sometimes she gets up and goes right back down with the help of big sis! She follows Kirbee or myself everywhere and if she can't find us then she just finds something to eat or get into. Here is an example of her getting into the clean clothes I was folding.
Just joking the pics aren't working will try again later!

A Busy Weekend

We had a very eventful Memorial Day Weekend. We got in a lot of family time in just a few days. I won't bore you with words but just wanted to show you some pictures and a video!
It began with a trip to the Dallas Zoo! (Those of you from DBU we saw Zach there!)

Paitently waiting to get started!

Saydee loved watching the penguins!

Kirbee cracked up when the penguins dove into the water!

After running a few more errands in town we headed to Grandmommies house to go swimming!

And then it was bath time!!

On Sunday Kirbee went to her first dance recital- she did not get to perform on stage but she did get to go up and get a perfect attendance medal for our Mommy and Me Class. I will have to put the video of her dancing on later. I tried today but I think my computer might be tired- I don't think it is working but for some reason if it shows up enjoy!

We did lots of other things too- like visit Mimi and Grandpa's donkies, went to two cookouts, rode in the wagon and of course went swimming some more. I will update with some more pictures later this week. Hope you enjoyed!

"Poop Daddy"

Oh the joys of potty training. Kirbee for the most part is potty trained now. I can't believe I am saying that- it seems like she was starting to crawl- it goes so fast! We had a funny incident happen on Sunday. It was Corey and my 6 year anniversary and because Corey is the best husband in the whole world he went with me shopping after coming back from our weekend away (where I shopped some more), Corey decided to take Kirbee to one store and I took Saydee to a different, we were not there long when Corey and Kirbee came back because he said she needed to go potty. She never said anything when she got to me so I just thought she was just wanting to test out the bathroom, like we do every place we go, I continued to shop and had gone into the dressing room when I heard this voice "Alicia, can you come out here please." I went out, in the clothes I was trying on, and to my dismay I say a "poop" lying in the floor!! Kirbee had told her daddy "poop daddy," Corey thought she was saying that she needed to poop, but what she was saying was that there was poop on the floor! She had pooped in her panties and then it fell out I guess. I told Corey to hurry and take her to the potty and I would change and be there as soon as I could. When I got to the bathroom, just one in the whole store, I saw Corey standing there- door wide open, with Kirbee trying to get the poop off! What a sight and a great daddy for helping! Daddy left and mommy took over- we got it cleaned up and checked out. Of course at the counter I had to tell the lady that I thought their toilet was overflowing. I didn't mention it was our fault! I won't mention what store we were at just in case we aren't asked to come back! By the way I did clean up the poop that was on the floor before we left. What great memories!

Our little Smurf

I said in the beginning that I would probably have a hard time writing a lot. I am hoping that once school is out I will have more time! Yesterday I took the girls back to the grocery store and it was not that bad, but on our way home we had to go and get a snow cone. We know the girl who owns the stand so we asked for a suggestion on what kind we should get... she said "Bubble Gum BLUE" I emphasize BLUE because that is what Kirbee looked like when we were done. She even had blue on her tummy and she was wearing a shirt!! It was cute and of course I took pictures. Saydee did not get to enjoy one "yet" but she still had fun going along for the ride.

Saydee is talking so much now and she really enjoys eating her dinner. I will try to get a clip of her up soon- it is so precious!! Have a great evening and if I do not "blog" before have a wonderful Mother's Day to all of you who are mothers or soon to be mothers! It is the most wonderful blessing ever!

A new meaning to "Grocery Shopping"

Before I got married I remember how much fun I thought grocery shopping would be. I could picture Corey and I going to the grocery store planning out all of our meals and then going home putting them up and cooking dinner! It was such a happy picture, and then we got married and the first couple of months were fun! We would make our list before we left and would usually go every Saturday. We went up and down the isles making sure we got everything we needed, then just as I had pictured it we went back to our small one bedroom apartment put them all away and then usually had a special dinner. What a fun memory- of course after the first few months it wasn't as much fun, and then we had children. I love my children dearly and it was not too bad grocery shopping with just Kirbee when she was little and didn't know any different than to just sit back and enjoy the ride. However as she got older it kept getting harder because she is a child who wants to be busy ALL THE TIME. But when she finally realized that our local grocery store had a car that she could, drive she was pretty excited! Every time we would pass the grocery store she would want to go and "drive mommy, drive". That lasted maybe a month, and then she discovered she could get out of the car when it stopped. That put a new meaning to going to the store instead of it taking 20 minutes, it now took mommy 40 minutes plus I better have my running shoes on! The next thing you know we have another beautiful baby girl Saydee. She is now at the age where she does not know any different than to sit back and enjoy the ride. She is getting close to just getting to sit in the basket but we are not there yet. Going to the grocery store by yourself with one child is a challenge but taking two is even a bigger challenge. We had to tackle the store this afternoon and man was it fun. The problem with the "car baskets" is that the basket where the groceries go is smaller than a regular basket and then the top basket where I could put Saydee's car seat leans back to far. So by the time you have the car seat in the basket there is NO room for groceries. Today Saydee was surrounded by groceries-not that she minded- but I was just thankful none of them fell on her head or Kirbee didn't throw any on top of her. Kirbee did not have a whole lot of fun today- she didn't want to drive, she wanted to walk without her shoes. So needless to say by the time we left the store mommy was carrying Kirbee in one hand and pushing the huge car basket with the other- and most of you have probably experienced that those do not turn so well. But we made it out and safely home and that is all that matters- right?

The Girls

Kirbee- A very busy two year old! Kirbee loves to dance and sing. She is just now starting to pretend play and it is so much fun. She has adjusted well to being a big sister which is a good thing. As long as she has plenty of people to watch her, Miss Little Saydee is ok to have around. Kirbee never as a problem getting any ones attention especially all of her aunts and her uncles!

Saydee- She is a very layed back, go with the flow girl. She is 7 1/2 months and is starting to get around everywhere. Saydee, or as most call her "Sissy", loves her big sister. She just watches her run around and can't wait until the day she can follow Kirbee everywhere (won't Kirbee love that)! Saydee loves to play with her toys but most of all she loves the phone and remote control (why is it that it never seems to work?)

New Blog

Hello everyone!
I am starting this blog and I will try my best to keep up with it. We are a very busy family but I wanted friends and family to be able to have a place to come and keep up with what is going on in our lives. We have two beautiful girls and I will post pictures soon! I am trying to figure all of this out so it may take a while before I like how it all looks. My friend Linsey is great at this and we are actually on a trip together right now so she is going to be helping me out! My goal is to post at least a few times a week- it depends on how our day goes. I will try and post daily as soon as summer comes and we are on a better schedule. Have a great day!
