Blog Under Construction

I am experimenting with making my blog cute, so at times it might look funny while I experiment!

Ahhh.... I love Sunday afternoons, especially ones when it is sunny outside and you can open the windows and feel a fresh breeze come through. It reminds me of when I was little and my mom would open all the windows and you would have to get a blanket to cover up because there was just enough cool air coming through.

The other precious sight that I see right now is my two girls taking their Sunday afternoon nap. Kirbee curled up on the couch and Saydee FINALLY passed out on the floor. She must be dreaming a sweet dream because she keeps smiling. I am truly blessed to have healthy and beautiful children. Thank you God for your unfailing love and for blessing our family.

I am back again for post update number two! My goal as of right now is to try and post at least once a week... we will see. I would count this week as a success as far as saving money and staying on my workout plan.

I found some great deals at our local grocery store this week and then was able to go into the city to shop at Kroger. I am under budget for my groceries.... YEAH!! I feel I have found a new hobby. I absolutely LOVE to go to shopping malls, I would go every Saturday if I lived closer. I don't always have to buy something, I just really enjoy going. However... I think I am going to start loving to find good deals and save money. This morning I cleaned out my freezer and my pantry and loved it. Those of you reading this (if anyone) and you know me you are going to think I have gone crazy, but I am just crazy about finding good deals! I pray that I keep up the motivation and save my family money anyway that I can, NOT to say I will not have weak moments because I know they will come but I am trying!

AND for my workouts.... I have worked out every day this week again. I think we are starting week number 5 of our morning workouts. Although when my alarm goes off in the morning I DO NOT want to get out of my warm cozy bed but I do and I am LOVING the way I feel. I was beginning to think I was not seeing results but I think I am now. I really watched what I ate this week and feel it is making a difference....we will see.

My girls are good as well as my hubby and I am looking forward to being in the Lord's house tomorrow. I love the fact that when we drive by the church my girls are so excited about that being "their church". Saydee will say that is "my church", which is just precious that she loves the church and Jesus. Kirbee told me today that the church is not a church but it is "God's House". She is right, I just love those little girls!

Starting Over

WOW! The last time I blogged Saydee had turned one! She is now 2 and Kirbee is 4. I want to get back to blogging and who knows how much time I will have but I am going to try, if I can remember how to do everything. It will probably take a little bit to get back into the swing of things. We have a new goal in our life that we are going to work really hard at. We are cutting back on everything and are going to save money and get out of debt. We started Financial Peace University with Dave Ramsey about a week ago. I am dedicated to doing my very best and MAKING this work. We are very blessed and want to be able to give back. I am not a big spender as it is, but in the past if we have wanted something we find a way to get it. But now I am going to use coupons when I shop and not buy anything that is not on sale. I know there are lots of people out there who do this as well and now I am going to join them. We are taking baby steps and each week I am going to try something new. This week I was able to cut my grocery bill in half by just paying close attention to what I bought. Next week I will be using coupons but I did not get a chance to get anything going for this week. I am also (along with some other friends doing the same thing) going to make my own laundry detergent and then this summer when the weather begins to get a little nicer we are going to line dry our clothes. I am thinking about using my dishwasher as a drying rack and hand washing my dishes so that I do not have to use electricity to run my dishwasher. I know it may all sound crazy but we are going to try and see where it leads! Now to leave you with a more current picture of my precious babies!
